We are seeking a talented market facing senior derivatives Product Manager, to spear head a team of 4-6. The Product Manager is the senior business person responsible for the full life cycle of a product. He/She coordinates product activities with various functional areas across the organizations such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service and Financial Management. Product Management is tasked with focusing energies on five key disciplines: • Planning: Strategic and Tactical Product Planning & Development • Marketing: Promotional Communications, Sales Tools and Training • Sales and Distribution Channel Support • Financial and Profitability Management • Regulatory and Risk Management • Guide and Support Product Development The product manager gathers and analyzes competitive data; monitors markets/services and participates in sales presentations, industry forums and/or client meetings to promote the products. The product manager is ultimately responsible for the positioning and performance of a product and will coordinate all activities necessary to ensure the achievement of strategic revenue, profit, and market share objectives. The successful job holder will be responsible for more than one product line, and will also have personnel management responsibilities depending upon the size and scope of their product line/s or markets, this is likely to be a team of 4-6 professionals. Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of institutional financial services product management usually acquired through related work experience in required coordinating and managing products. Negotiation and client servicing skills are necessary to consult with client discussions. Planning, organizational, and leadership skills are necessary to oversee products.
