Responsibilities include: * Plan and monitor tax department activities and provide guidance for the preparation of Fiscal and excise tax provisions, including complete and accurate disclosures for financial statement purposes. * Review of Federal (Forms 1120RIC, 8613, 1065, K-1 and other applicable filings), State, and Local tax returns * Propose enhancements to fund policies and procedures to address evolving RIC and security tax laws. * Perform a review of the IRS Regulated Investment Company qualification tests * Identify potential tax issues and provide guidance on the tax treatments of financial instruments and transactions. * Review IRS RIC qualification tests and provide guidance. * Monitor federal and state tax law changes. * Train supervisors and various staff and conduct performance reviews. Qualifications include:
* Four to Seven Years of direct RIC Tax experience required * BS in Accountancy or Finance is required * Two years of supervisory experience necessary * Thorough knowledge of RIC tax and security tax law, as well as general tax concepts
