Supporting the sales distribution network of a global investment manager. Position is located in California. Full relocation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine business strategy, ongoing resource allocation and resource effectiveness assessment
  • Collaborate closely with other strategy functions within the Distribution team and analytics team to drive success
  • Derive insights to influence incremental resource allocations, sales coverage models and the marketing mix
  • Develop a customer segmentation model as a foundation for establishing targets, creating programs and allocating resources
  • Ensure seamless and effective program execution for channel-specific initiatives
  • Drive analytics of functional levers and programs to determine channel-specific effectiveness of resources and programs
  • Gather and synthesize customer insights from a variety of sources (sales, research, behavioral data, fund flows, customer interactions) to shape our distribution approach
  • Represent channel and customer in cross-channel resource effectiveness analysis

Requirements:

  • MBA from top tier program
  • Must have 2-3 years post MBA experience within top tier consulting firm (eg; Bain, McKinsey, Boston Consulting, Booz Allen), ideally within a non-M&A financial services practice area
  • 2-3 years relevant financial services industry experience in sale distribution
  • Sales exposure to Registered Investment Advisors, Private Wealth Management and Institutional clients
  • Leadership of strategy and decision-making, and team cross-functionally (marketing, sales, product and operations)
  • Direct experience in business planning, strategic thinking, client segmentation and efficient program execution
