Financial Risk Management Division manages the market risks and insurance risks of wealth management insurance products. Main products are SPVA (Single Premium Variable Annuity). The Division currently is working on critical business projects to expand the coverage of the business in the region. Equally important, it has several technology projects to build new application systems and upgrade the system infrastructure to the next level. As such, we are seeking an experienced professional working as a Senior Business Specialist, who has both business and IT skills, joining a team of Risk Managers, Financial Engineers, Quant developers, Financial Risk Developers, and a team of project Managers/Business Specialists This is a business support position which requires prior experience of running business projects and IT projects. (It is not an IT project manager position, but a business project manager function.) RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Manage and deliver both business projects and technical projects 2. Coordinate Business and IT within and external of the Division, both locally, regionally and globally on business projects and IT projects 3. Liaise with in-house IT department, vendor technical consultants, both internally/externally and locally/globally for systems integration solutions, and vendor package upgrades 4. Work on ad-hoc business and technical assignments which include, but not limited to, business analysis, technical analysis, project coordination, SLA creation/amendment, management presentation slides 5. Work on tasks, from big to small, from elegant to “dirty”, from critical to trivial. The main focus is to help/assist Division Head and other colleagues (that is, the whole Division) to focus on the main business by handling whatever tasks are necessary; a Super Helper role 6. A combination of business project manager, technical project manager, and senior assistant to Division Head. This position teams with other project managers/business specialists SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Application development experience in earlier stage of career 2. Experience of managing business projects and systems integration projects 3. Basic Financial product knowledge (Bonds, Futures, IRS, Options) and 3+ years experience of working in financial industry. Total 10+ years of experience 4. Business analysis experience, with very strong business sense 5. Sharp/Clear/Creative verbal/written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills 6. Ability to communicate with all levels of people from CEO to new graduates 7. Be able to make quick decisions 8. Professionally strong character, but professionally flexible and realistic 9. Fire in the heart; eager to deliver; passionate in getting work done 10. Spoken and written English 11. Spoken and written Japanese a plus, but not required PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS:
