My client an extremely successful Hedge Fund within the CTA/Systematic space is currently seeking to hire a Quantitative/Research Manager. The position is based in an attractive area in Europe.

The position will be to deploy, manage and deliver the funds research projects which will be received directly from the Board.

Projects include

Analysis of the managed futures trading system, refinement of its design and infrastructure and the future design of new trading strategies and improvements.

You will work closely with the system designer to coordinate efforts and have a team initially of 4 researchers, this will grow to up to 10 over the next 3 years for these projects.

Your career path will have taken you into the world of managed futures, whether that was actual execution experience or more research driven. Underpinning this experience you will have a highly numerate background developed in an applied context.

Previous experience

• Masters in Maths or Physics at a top university

• PhD or equivalent in the disciplines above

• Extensive programming experience although you do not necessarily need to be up-to-date in all of the funds programming languages.

• You will exhibit exceptional organizational ability and have a history of working to deadlines in your previous role/s.

• Experience in managing others or you will display the qualities needed to manage a diverse team of researchers (from PhDs through to undergraduate degree level).

• Well-versed in analysing your own and others’ work which will culminate in the clear and efficient presentation of results.

• Importantly you will be able to project plan effectively and communicate project plans and the results of these to your team, senior management within research and other managers who do not necessarily have the technical ability to understand all the nuances of your research effort.

A very attractive package is on offer for the right individual including typical Hedge Fund like bonuses paid quarterly.
