Outstanding opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join a leading European Private Equity house in a broad-based role.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading investor in the European private equity market and was established in 2000. Headquartered in London the business has funds under management of €2 billion.

Servicing over 200 institutional clients, they have invested and worked with a broad range of companies and managers, successfully tackling a wide array of private equity deals.

These deals have included public-to-private leveraged buy-outs, management buy-ins, turnarounds, operational improvement initiatives and, of course, scaling up for fast growth.

THE ROLE

As a result of an internal move they currently have a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join the Finance team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the production of all management and statutory accounting, as well as all the taxation work for the management company group.

The candidate will be working directly for the Financial Controller and will have supervisory responsibility for one member of staff and managing various external accounting services.

YOUR PROFILE

You will be a fully qualified accountant (ideally ACA or ACCA), with a strong academic background, specifically a graduate with a 2:1 minimum degree.

You will also have experience of working in the Financial Services sector, preferably in Investment Management, and be able to demonstrate having taken full responsibility for the accounting processes and preparation of accounts both from a management and statutory perspective.

The role will also require someone with the ability to work with a large degree of autonomy, and to meet tight reporting deadlines. Also, given its high level of interaction with all areas of the business, very strong interpersonal skills will be vital.
