This financial institution seeks an AVP Level individual with expertise in Islamic Banking products. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with Shariah knowledge who has either a legal background or banking and finance transactional experience. This is a newly created opportunity which will report to a senior Board Member.
Your main responsibility is the provision of advice to the Shariah Board, product staff and Front Office on Islamic banking principles. Daily tasks will include:
Escalation and resolution of Shariah matters
Preparation of agenda, meeting minutes and legal opinions
Training and implementation assistance regarding the implementation of new product decisions
Liaison with legal department and relevant jurisprudence board
Attending Islamic Banking seminars and conference, and disseminating information across the business units
You will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Islamic Finance and advisory services. Our client is willing to provide relocation assistance to Singapore for the right candidate.
