Position Description: Credit Capital and Analysis - Analyst/Associate

Morgan Stanley is recruiting an Analyst/Associatefor the Credit Capital and Analysis Group. The ideal candidate will grow into a broad role involving, but not limited to risk and capital analysis and reporting. This role requires strong capabilities with computers and data management.
Job Responsibilities include:
assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk reports covering fixed income, commodity and equity trading activities as well as loans
daily monitoring of risk data quality
optimization and reorganization of risk data tables
representation at cross-functional working groups
Educational Background:
An undergraduate in computer science, finance, or economics is required; an advanced degree is a plus, but is not required.
Skills Required: Candidates must have:
Familiarity with fixed income, equity, and other traded securities
0-1 years of experience in computers or data management
Fluency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Visual Basic.
Familiarity with SQL database queries.
Strong problem-solving abilities, solid writing and oral presentation skills
